THE KEY TO STAYING DISCIPLINED
Ryan Milton Aug 2017
You have your plans, you have your ideas and you know what you want to achieve.
Now all you need to do is go to work.
But never easy.
What do you do on the days where you don’t have any drive and you want to drop your disciplines and just throw it all away?
These days will happen and obviously the outcome from falling into this pattern will produce undesired results.
So how do we fight back and stay true to our disciplines?
We gain momentum.
Momentum is the key to staying disciplined because it will set you on the course that will make you want to do better, be better and stick to the disciplines you set for yourself.
How do we gain momentum?
By completing small tasks
Sometimes your disciplines can be too big and all too easy to procrastinate. Doing a smaller task can quickly help you gain the momentum that will lead you to the bigger ones.
For example: make your bed, do the dishes, the laundry, take a walk etc.
Simple and small tasks that require minimal effort but will help you produce maximal results.
Just a little bit of effort can go a long way to improving your ability to stay true to your disciplines.
Next time you want to give up, get momentum instead.
