For most of us, Protein Shakes are a huge part of our diets. Protein Shakes have ton of benefits like fatloss, muscle preservation, muscle & strength building and hunger control just to name a few. But even though most protein shakes taste delicious, over time they can become boring and tasteless. Here are some easy additions you can throw into any protein shake and make it better.
Peanut butter is full of healthy fats and even some additional protein. It tends to fit deliciously with chocolate protein shakes. Peanut butter is a great addition to any shake, especially if you are trying to build mass because of the additional calories it will provide.
They used to say “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” but really they should have said a banana. Bananas are a super food, containing a higher vitamin and protein and fiber content than any other fruit you simply cannot go wrong. Throw a banana in any flavor of protein powder and change it up adding additional nutrients and carbohydrates. The banana is an especially good addition to your post workout shake due to the higher levels of carbohydrate it presents to refuel your body.
Berries have additional vitamins and minerals and are a perfect addition to any flavor protein shake. Throw these in to your anytime shakes and enjoy a tasty berryful flavor!
Trying to get some added carb into your protein shake? Throw in some oats. Oats are a slow digesting carbohydrate which helps regulate blood sugar levels and keep you satisfied longer. Throw them into any shake to add some good carbs and fiber.
Most all nuts are a great source of fats and protein. Add them into any shakes and help hit your macro goals.
